Faces of PR: Melissa Monroe-Young, APR

How long have you been in the field of Communication, Marketing or Public Relations?
Almost 15 years. Prior to that, I was a journalist for 15 years.

What are your specialties?
Writing/editing, media outreach, social media, strategizing

Share your biography in 2-3 sentences.
From a journalist to a PR pro, I have been in the local media/communications scene for too many years to count. However I'm constantly learning and enjoy finding ways to tell a great story to different audiences. I'm also a part of the San Antonio Association of Black Journalists and San Antonio Chapter of The Links, Incorporated.
