FREE, Half-Day Workshop by PR Pros - Gift of Guidance

A FREE, online, half-day workshop with training by PR professionals 

Business as usual is just not the same anymore, so this year, the Public Relations Society of America San Antonio (PRSA SA) Chapter is going to offer its Gift of Guidance program under the new, normal guidelines – in-person and online.

What is the Gift of Guidance?

Every year, PRSA SA asks its members to volunteer their time and share public relations principles, practices, and their expertise during a free, half-day, training workshop.

How to Participate

Any San Antonio-area nonprofit that needs public relations assistance can register to be part of Gift of Guidance. Participants will have a choice whether to receive their training online or attend in-person. There is no cost.

Gift of Guidance will take place:

Saturday, November 13, 2021
8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Online attendees will receive a link to the training as the date nears. Refreshments and lunch will be provided for in-person attendees at a location TBD.

Registration

To take part in the 2021 Gift of Guidance program, nonprofits must be a San Antonio-area nonprofit that:

• does not have a public relations professional on staff;
• does not have access to support from public relations contractors; OR
• does have a public relations employee on staff but needs additional assistance.

Why the Gift of Guidance?

Organizations – whether nonprofit or for profit  - address many crucial needs in the San Antonio region. However, they sometimes do not have the staff or resources to develop strong communications programs that focus their messaging, leverage social media, raise their public profile, and strengthen relationships with employees, volunteers and other stakeholders.

Because communication with many audiences is vital to help organizations achieve their mission, PRSA-SA wants to help by giving something they are best at – their expertise. That is why they developed the Gift of Guidance program.
