Networking Groups
Connect With Your Fellow Professionals Through a Networking Group
PRSA San Antonio offers networking groups to help PR professionals get to know each other, share helpful information and mutually support each other through the challenges of their PR career. The groups meet both virtually and in-person.
Current groups include:
- Blockbuster PR - Tactics, objectives, and strategies – oh no! Blockbuster PR is all about friends, outings, and flicks. Join this social small group of PR professionals who just want to escape into a dark room, watch a loud movie and munch on buttery popcorn.
- Former News Pros - Many of our PR pros come in from the broadcast, radio or newspaper business. Now it’s time to dream big, vent loudly and share Anchorman quotes with fellow professionals who share a newsy background.
- North I-35 PR - Do you live north of San Antonio and want to network with public relations professionals? As part of this regional small group, you won’t have to drive far to connect with fellow professionals. This group is for PR professionals who live or work in and around New Braunfels.
- PR in the RGV - We’ve got three letters for you: R.G.V. If you live in the Rio Grande Valley or anywhere in south Texas, you are invited and encouraged to join this regional small group.
- Young Professionals – This one is designed for PR professionals with five or fewer years of experience, and the purpose is to help young pros build relationships in the industry,
share success tips and learn how to advance their careers and leadership capabilities. - PR Job Seekers – If you are new to the PR industry and looking for a job or are already in the PR industry but unemployed/underemployed, this small group will help you find the next great opportunity.
- South Texas Connectors - This group is to help PR professionals who live outside of San Antonio to develop and enhance their relationships with other public relations professionals in the South Texas area, keep up to date with what is going on in the PRSA San Antonio world and share best practices and new perspectives.
We're always looking for other ways to connect! If there's a group you'd like to form (mid-career professionals, late-career professionals and agency owners/independents), let us know! If you have an idea for another group, please email Small Groups Coordinator Michelle Baker [email protected].
