Message from the President
Dear Members and Friends of PRSA,
It’s November! Best wishes and many blessings to each of you as you celebrate Thanksgiving with your loved ones.
Gift of Guidance
As part of our “giving thanks”, PRSA hosts the Gift of Guidance Luncheon every year in which we help local non-profit organizations by offering free public relations counseling to six local nonprofit organizations. This year, we worked with six wonderful organizations at our November 3 luncheon. My heart was full during that event because there is nothing better than watching a group of engaged, passionate PR pros working with equally engaged and passionate people from the non-profits.
The non-profit organizations included: House of Neighborly Service, Martinez Street Women’s Center, Paws for Prison, Pay it Forward - Clean & Sober Living, Rolling Inspiration, and Low Vision Resource Center.
Special thanks and kudos to Joel Williams and Michelle Baker, APR, who planned and orchestrated this extra-special event.
2016 Rockin’ Holiday Mixer on December 13
We’re excited about the upcoming holiday Mixer that we are hosting along with the American Marketing Association (AMA) and the San Antonio Association of Hispanic Journalists (SAAJH).
It will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2016, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Hard Rock Café (River Walk), 111 W. Crockett Street. Register online at www.prsanantonio.com by noon, December 9. Come and mix and mingle with other communications pros and journalists, check out the holiday lights on the River Walk, and park for free in city-owned parking lots (Tuesday night free downtown parking). We also invite you to help “light up a child’s Christmas” by bringing a nightlight to be donated to local children’s homes.
